Elizabeth started writing at eighteen in order to extricate herself from an unhappy marriage. She rescued an antique typewriter from a skip and wrote her first novel based on her experiences of being married into the music industry. An agent loved Elizabeth’s writing, but not the subject and wanted to know if they could see anything else she’d written.
She hadn’t written anything else. But she didn’t let that stop her. She wrote her next novel in three weeks, was signed and that novel, Honesty, was published by Hodder. She went on to publish a further two novels - Pretties and Sisters.
After a hiatus from publishing which has involved working in the fashion business, running an organic health food shop, writing for magazines and running a villa rental business in Spain, Elizabeth discovered her stash of manuscripts in the loft and decided to give being an author another go.
She is currently working on an evocative and richly imagined modern gothic fairytale.
