Richard is a London based performer, drag artiste, comedian, presenter, singer and writer who can also rap whilst doing a headstand!
He has numerous credits in TV, theatre and film, and has performed his live comedy cabaret shows in many different countries.
Having performed for many years for the British Army, he became the first man to be named a "Forces Sweetheart" for his work as Cookie MonStar.
His most recent comic creation - Sheila Simmonds - made her West End debut to critical acclaim in June 2013 at the Leicester Square Theatre in Viva La Drag starring The Supreme Fabulettes. Richard created the role & co-wrote his part with the show's writer Terry Ronald.
He toured as Sheila with The Supreme Fabulettes on their 2015 tour - Viva Las Divas, and has also performed three solo shows as Sheila at the Leicester Square Theatre Lounge - two of which were nominated for a West End Wilma Award and a Boyz Scene Award.
He was also featured on London Live's show Drag Queens of London and made an appearance as Cookie MonStar in the film Kinky Boots.
Richard is also the author of the book Drawn Words and Written Pictures which features the paintings of artist Tracey Adkins.
He is pleased to be working with David on Me and My Girls, an autobiography which will tell the story of his life growing up in a small village to becoming a drag queen in New York City, and his subsequent return to the UK.
