Abigail Chandler

Abigail has been writing since before she could write, when she would dictate stories to her very tolerant parents, and has never stopped.

Her ambition to one day write professionally led to her torpedoing many varied careers, until she discovered journalism. She has written for outlets including the Guardian and Metro, and was the Deputy Editor of SciFiNow Magazine.

She’s also a playwright, having her plays staged at The Space and the Southwark Playhouse. She has recently accepted a place on the Royal Court’s Autumn Writer’s Group 2025.

Abigail is currently working on her ‘first’ (actually fourth) novel, which she developed on Curtis Brown Creative’s Writing Your Novel course.

When she’s not writing she can be found in Oxford repeatedly yelling “GET OFF YOUR BROTHER” at two small children.
