Amanda Jennings writes psychological suspense. Her debut, Sworn Secret, was a Kindle bestseller and reached number one in Italy. Her second novel, The Judas Tree, was optioned for film and TV, and In Her Wake was a WHSmith Fresh Talent pick. 

She has written seven novels and numerous short stories, and is published in the UK and abroad. Her later novels include The Cliff House, which The Times described as "absorbingly atmospheric … beautiful and sinister”, The Storm, The Haven, and Beautiful People, which was shortlisted for the 2025 CWA Twisted Dagger. 

Before becoming a novelist, she worked as a researcher at the BBC and studied History of Art at Cambridge. She judges the Henley Youth Festival writing competition every year. Amanda lives in Henley-on-Thames with her husband and a menagerie of animals, and has three grown daughters.
