Jenni Coutts

Jenni Coutts is a queer speculative fiction writer, British Science Fiction Association Award and British Fantasy Award winning illustrator, and GP based in Glasgow, Scotland. She is the current art editor of BFS Horizons, and art lead for the World Fantasy Convention in 2025. She was shortlisted for the Scottish New Writer’s award in 2019, and has been a member of the Glasgow SF Writer’s Circle since 2013. She loves writing fast-paced science fiction with found families, pirate battles, LGBT+ romance, and sisterhood.

A lifelong bookworm, she can usually be found curled up with her elderly rescue cat, a (soon to be cold) cup of tea, and a fantasy or sci-fi novel. When not writing or drawing, she enjoys boxing, weightlifting, and watching cheesy action movies. One day her coffee addiction really will get the better of her.
