Lex Noteboom

Lex Noteboom (1987) broke onto the international scene with the science fiction thriller The Deca Tapes: a fiction podcast he wrote, directed and produced. The success of that mystery story earned him book deals in the Netherlands, England and the US. This gave him the courage to quit his job and pursue writing full time.

He spent three years writing his debut novel: The Man with a Thousand Faces, a fast-paced thriller for fans of Black Mirror and House of Cards. Lex spent a lot of time creating the fictional country of Kazichia, where the adventure takes place, and setting up a plot that’s accessible and grounded like a crime thriller, but epic in scope like a fantasy story.

In the Netherlands, the book won numerous awards, among which being named Book of the Year by the country’s biggest Newspaper, the HEBBAN thriller of the year award – which is the Dutch Good Reads –  and winning the Shadow Award for best thriller debut.

Lex is currently working on his second novel, a multi-generational whodunnit, and the second season of The Deca Tapes.
