Melissa Munro

Melissa is a writer of horror fiction, and she is always surprised by the double takes that statement provokes. Having already enjoyed a successful career as a curator of modern and contemporary art, Melissa left that behind and didn’t look back as she embarked on the MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University, graduating in 2025 with Distinction. She was longlisted for the Yeovil Literary Prize in 2024 for her short story, Broken Bird. Melissa is a Scottish writer who now lives in Wales. She is currently working on her first novel, a folk horror set in North Wales.
