Sixty-one-year-old nurse Vicky is at the end of her tether. Her beloved dog, Scout, has just died in her arms and there’s nothing left for her in Liverpool. With Scout gone, there’s no reason not to take up old friend Angeliki’s offer; three months on a Greek island volunteering in an animal sanctuary with board and lodging thrown in.

On arrival, she meets bar owner Suzie, and they immediately hit it off. Long divorced, hitting sixty has bought it home to Suzie that she’s bored and restless.
