Ukrainian rights to A. D. Bell’s The Bookbinder’s Secret (HQ), have been sold to Vivat.

Dean Atta

We are delighted that the short film by Dean Atta, Two Black Boys in Paradise, has been nominated for a BAFTA in the ‘British Short Animation’ category.

Tasneem Abdur-Rashid & Nicola Garrard

Both Tasneem Abdur-Rashid and Nicola Garrard have been included in the Reading for Empathy Collection 2026. Abdur-Rashid for Odd Girl Out (David Fickling Books) and Garrard for On the Edge (Old Barn Books).

James Goodhand

Reports of His Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated (Mira Books) by James Goodhand has been nominated for an Audie Award in the ‘literary fiction’ category. Congratulations, James!

Turkish rights to Richard Swan’s The Infinite State (Gollancz) have sold to İthaki Yayınları.

Dean Atta

The cover for Dean Atta’s new book, Big Man, has been revealed. The book will be published by Cipher Press in September this year. The book explores themes of identity, aging, sex, family and trauma, turning a lens on what it means to age as a queer person.

Ryan Rose

Ryan Rose’s delicious fantasy debut, Seven Recipes for a Revolution (Daphne Press), has been voted FanFiAddict’s Best Debut Fantasy of 2025. Huge congratulations, Ryan!

Finally, congratulations to Chris McDonald, whose new book, The Wrong Man, has been snapped up by HarperNorth.

Set for publication in June this year, the book is a full-throttle first novel in a new PI series introducing Ethan Adler.
