The Curator, the third in M.W. Craven's fantastic Washington Poe crime series, was published last week and we couldn't be more excited for readers to get to grips with Poe's latest case. Renowned for his head-scratching cases, M.W. Craven will have you guessing right up until the last page.

Mike was interviewed about his writing inspiration for this month's Crime Monthly, and also featured in this month's Woman & Home as a Book Club Choice. Both copies are available to buy now.
The longlists were announced for the 2020 CWA Dagger Awards and we were delighted to see Black Summer, the second Washington Poe book, included. Congratulations, Mike!

Also selected as a Woman & Home Book Club Choice was Phillipa Ashley's forthcoming A Perfect Cornish Escape. The book was released in selected Tesco stores last week, and will be published officially this Thursday (11th June).

In more good news for Phillipa, and this gorgeous summery book, DuMont have snapped up German rights.

The second YA book from Kate Mallinder, Asking For A Friend was published this week and the reviews are coming in thick & fast:

"Mallinder both draws out the best and worst of social issues as a teen across the book and I hope that the experiences of this trio give hope and self-belief to young readers that it can get better."
Lily and the Fae blog

"I am a huge fan of Kate’s writing... I can see a lot of teens relating to these characters and that’s just fantastic. A story about true friendship and determination."
Kirsty's Book Buying Addiction blog

"Kate Mallinder is the new queen of YA contemporary and I cannot wait to see what she does next."
Amazon review

Kate hosted a virtual launch party on Facebook along with blogger Chelley Toy, and you can catch up here.

Paul Johnston has taken part in a fascinating piece for the Edinburgh Evening News along with other  Scottish crime-writers, who set their books in Edinburgh, on how their main characters would be coping during lockdown. Quint Dalrymple, Paul's protagonist, is no stranger to dystopian-esque times...

The first reader review for Mike Hollow's forthcoming novel, The Blitz Detective, is in!

"The book is well-plotted. I liked the setting and the protagonist, but the thing I liked the most about this story is the detailed description of life in London back then. With mesmerising narration and wonderful character development, this book is a sweet pick. And after reading The Four Symbols I was looking for more WW2 stuff and this surely satisfied me. I would gladly recommend this book."

The book is released on 23rd July by Allison & Busby.
