Many thanks to People's Friend, who have named Anna Jacobs their Writer of the Week.

To mark the accolade, Anna sat down with them to discuss her writing career, as well as her inspiration and gives readers some top advice for would-be authors.

Read the article here.

The cover for Eva Björg Ægisdóttir's You Can't See Me has been revealed! This is the prequel to her bestselling Forbidden Iceland series, and will be published in July this year by Orenda Books.

A wealthy Icelandic family is investigated and dark secrets are exposed when a body is found on the lava fields outside the hotel where they’ve gathered for a reunion … the chilling, gripping prequel to the addictive Forbidden Iceland series

The wealthy, powerful Snæberg clan has gathered for a family reunion at a futuristic hotel set amongst the dark lava flows of Iceland’s remote Snæfellsnes peninsula.

Petra Snæberg, a successful interior designer, is anxious about the event, and her troubled teenage daughter, Lea, whose social-media presence has attracted the wrong kind of followers. Ageing carpenter Tryggvi is an outsider, only tolerated because he’s the boyfriend of Petra’s aunt, but he’s struggling to avoid alcohol because he knows what happens when he drinks … Humble hotel employee, Irma, is excited to meet this rich and famous family and observe them at close quarters … perhaps too close…

As the weather deteriorates and the alcohol flows, one of the guests disappears, and it becomes clear that there is a prowler lurking in the dark.

But is the real danger inside … within the family itself?

Masterfully cranking up the suspense, Eva Björg Ægisdóttir draws us into an isolated, frozen setting, where nothing is as it seems and no one can be trusted, as the dark secrets and painful pasts of the Snæberg family are uncovered … and the shocking truth revealed.

A Golden Age mystery for the 21st Century, with a shocking twist.
The book also snapped up the Storytel Award for 'Best Novel'. The Awards are the Nordic region's largest audiobook award. Around 130,000 Nordic audiobook listeners vote for their favourites.

Congratulations to Caroline Lamond, whose new book, Well Behaved Women, was released in eBook this week.

The book is a dazzling story of "the most famous woman you've never met", Alla Nazimova, the highest paid star of the silent move era. Sapphic, scandalous and deeply sexy, Well Behaved Women is available to download now!

The gorgeous new summery read from Jo Thomas, Summer at the Ice Cream Cafe, has had its cover revealed from Transworld:

A dream home
Beca Valentino is ready to escape the city. When she sees the perfect house for sale in her hometown, it seems like fate. Is this her chance to build the foster family she dreams of, on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast?

A big mistake?
Returning home isn't as easy as she thought, however. Her family's beloved ice cream café is gone - turned into a soulless wine bar by her hateful ex-boyfriend. Reconnecting with her oldest friend, fisherman Griff, isn't straightforward either. And when, instead of the children she expected to take in, two wary teenage boys appear on her doorstep, Beca fears she's made a terrible mistake.

A recipe for change
But an old family recipe book is just the inspiration she needs. Soon, with a little help from friends old and new, Beca is selling mouth-watering homemade gelato from a pop-up café on the beach.

Then disaster strikes. Will the Valentino family legacy be lost forever? Or can Beca create a new recipe for happiness?

The book will be published in eBook later this month, and paperback in June.

It was another publication day celebration at the office last week as the paperback for Anna Jacobs' Silver Wishes was released.

Anna is the author of over 100 books, across many different series and Silver Wishes is the first in her brand new 'Jubilee Lake' series.

Clients Sean Lusk and Essie Fox will be taking part in an event alongside fellow author Laura Shepherd-Robinson.

They will be diving in to the rich and complex world of historical writing, the stories that can be told within these worlds that touch on reality but create a sense of surrealism. Join these three wonderful historical fiction minds and find out the ins and outs of how history serves to inspire them.

Tickets available here.

Our final cover reveal this week comes in the form of All the Little Liars, the brand new book from Sunday Times top 10 bestselling author, Victoria Selman (Truly, Darkly, Deeply), which will be released in September this year.

What REALLY happened at Turtle Lake? You think you know. Think again.

California, 2003
A thirteen-year-old girl disappears from a party at Carlsbad's Turtle Lake. Discovered on the trunk of a nearby cottonwood tree is the word 'LIAR' graffitied in blood.

What you know . . .
Three teenagers went to the lake that night but only two came back. Later, they confess to murdering their friend.

. . . is only part of the story
But did they really kill her? And if not, why say they did?

Told across two timelines and tapping into a horrific crime, All the Little Liars is a novel about sisterly love and toxic friendship that asks: how much would you sacrifice to belong?

Finally, we were delighted that Heather Darwent has been announced as one of the panellists on this year's New Blood lineup at the Harrogate Crime Festival, alongside Stig Abell, Jo Callaghan, Natalie Marlow and chaired by Val McDermid.

This is a huge accolade for any debut author, and with Heather's debut novel, The Things We Do To Our Friends reaching the Sunday Times top 10 upon its release in January, this is one author to watch!
