A couple of weeks ago, we told you that Ragnar Jónasson has teamed up with Icelandic Prime Minister, Katrin Jakobsdóttir, to pen crime novel, Reykjavík, with publication in Iceland set for later this month.

Now we can tell you that the book has been bought by Ragnar's UK publisher, Michael Joseph, with a view to publishing the book in August 2023.
Reykjavik is a dual-narrative crime novel, following two strands of a mystery 30 years apart. In August 1956, a 14-year-old girl called Lara disappears from the island of Vidney, just off the coast of Reykjavik, and becomes Iceland’s most infamous unsolved case. In 1986, as Reykjavik celebrates its 200th anniversary, tabloid journalist Valur digs into her death.

Truly, Darkly, Deeply by Victoria Selman (paperback, Quercus) February 2023

Congratulations to Amy Beashel, who last week saw the publication of her brand new YA book, We Are All Constellations, a heartbreaking but hopeful take about the stories we tell ourselves to survive...

You are strong. You are brave. You are not alone.

Seventeen-year-old Iris is happy. She's fearless, she's strong. She is everything but a girl who lost her mum.

But Iris's dad and step-mum have been keeping a secret. One big enough to unravel her. Only the magnetic Órla can provide an escape, until things get...complicated. As Iris questions who she is, it becomes clear she can't run away from grief.

What happens when someone who has never faced up to the darkness lets it in?

It's time for the final cover reveal now *drum roll*

A Murder at the Castle by Chris McGeorge (Orion) November 2022

Finally, it gives us immense pleasure to be able to reveal that the spellbinding debut from Sean Lusk, The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesley, has been selected as one of the featured books for BBC Two's next series of Between the Covers.

Hosted by Sara Cox, the six-part series celebrates the enjoyment of reading in a book club-style setting. In each programme, a different group of four famous guests brings along a book of their choice and discuss a newly published book. Hot on the heels of the Booker Prize, each show will also feature a title from the Booker backlists.

The 12 selected books featured in the series will be labelled with "Between The Covers" stickers in shops, libraries and online. Audiences can read and join the conversation on social media using #BetweenTheCovers.
