Beating off stiff competition, the book has already garnered high praise from the likes of literary heavyweights Sophie Hannah "utterly original and unique", Sarah Pinborough "darkly comic, mind-blowingly twisty" and Ragnar Jonasson "an incredibly enjoyable read", and was the winner of the Books Are My Bag Novel Award 2018, and shortlisted for the HWA Debut Crown 2018.
The overall winner of the Costa Book of the Year Award 2018 will be announced on the 29th January 2019.
Congratulations, Stu!
