Ross Berkeley Simpson
Agent: Abi Fellows
Ross Berkeley Simpson is an author, playwright and screenwriter. His first play Warheads was performed at The Park and received an Olivier nomination in 2020. His second play Heterophobia was performed by Dame Maureen Lipman and Paul Copley at The Turbine.
His short films (as both writer and sometimes director) have won awards around the world, including the Bridport festival and, most recently, a nomination at the Royal Television Society Awards. He was a young actor at the Television Workshop and became a director there at the time they won the BAFTA for Services to Children’s Television. He still works as an actor occasionally, most recently appearing in Sky’s Funny Woman and ITV’s DI Ray.
In a long forgotten life, he was also a singer/songwriter signed to Polydor, scored a number 3 club hit and toured with Ronan Keating. Ross has just completed his first novel for children and has several adult fiction projects taking shape. While it looks like his career is varied, he puts it all down to telling stories..
