Vikki Patis is the bestselling author of psychological thrillers The Wake (2020), Girl, Lost (2020), The Girl Across the Street (2019), and The Diary (2018). Girl, Lost, a top 100 bestseller on Amazon, was later longlisted for the Not the Booker Prize 2020. In the Dark was released in March 2021 and Return to Blackwater House in 2022, with new publisher Hodder & Stoughton.

She is also the author of Weltanschauung (2016), a short story collection, and her BSc dissertation, I Ink, Therefore I Am (2014), was published by Lambert Publishing. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found reading, baking gluten free cakes, or walking in the Hertfordshire countryside. She lives with her partner, two cats, and a wild golden retriever puppy.

Vikki also runs The Bandwagon blog, where she provides author services such as editing and web design, as well as writing articles on a wide range of topics, and the Psychological Suspense Authors' Association. She used to write for various websites, covering topics from living with a chronic illness to body positivity to feminism.

Vikki also writes historical mystery as Victoria Hawthorne, and her debut novel in this genre, The House at Helygen, was published in April 2022 by Quercus.
