Congratulations to Dean Atta, whose debut adult literary novel, Big Man, has been sold to Cipher Press, in a deal struck by Abi Fellows.

Additionally, Dean’s short film, Two Black Boys in Paradise, based on his poem, was awarded. Best Animation at the Ealing Film Festival.

Jo Thomas

The new gorgeous festive romance from Jo Thomas, Christmas at Hollybush Farm (Transworld), was published.

The US cover for Sunyi Dean’s new novel, The Girl With A Thousand Faces (Tor, May 2026), has been revealed.

A Gothic tale set in a historical Hong Kong, the book meshes ancient myths and local legends into a haunting story of ghosts, grief, and women who will not forgive.

Tomek Mossakowski

The debut novel from Tomek Mossakowski, Jonny, has been bought by Borough Press and is due for release in spring 2027.

Richard Swan

Happy publication day to Richard Swan! Grave Empire, the first in his ‘The Great Silence’ series, was published in paperback (Orbit).

Lizzie Huxley-Jones

Lizzie Huxley-Jones’ new novel, Reality Check, will be published by Simon & Schuster, in a deal negotiated by Abi Fellows.

The book will publish in April 2026, and the cover has also been revealed!

Alison Barrow

We are absolutely delighted that the debut novel from Alison Barrow, The Table in the Corner, will be published by new HQ imprint, Juniper Press, headed up by Manpreet Grewal, to whom David Headley sold UK & Commonwealth (exc. CAN) rights.

US rights were pre-empted by Claire Wachtel at Union Square, while Penguin Random House won German rights in a three-way auction.

The book will publish in summer 2027.

Karen Arthur

Congratulations to Karen Arthur. Grandma’s Locs, has won the Diversity Book Award, in the Picture Book category (illustrated by Camilla Ru).

Sean Lusk

We are thrilled to announce that Sean Lusk’s A Woman of Opinion (Transworld, May 2025), has been listed for the Saltires, Scotland’s National Book Awards.

Katie Baskerville

HQ has signed Beyond Belief, an exploration of gossip by Katie Baskerville. Marleigh Price bought World English Language rights from Abi Fellows, and the book will be out in hardback, ebook and audio on 12 March 2026.

The new novel from Paul Waters, and the first in his ‘Haveli Hotel Mystery’ series, Murder in Moonlit Square, was published by Bedford Square Books.

Little, Brown’s Sphere imprint has bought the debut historical fantasy from Rebecca Templeton, due for release in April 2026, in a deal made by Emily Glenister.

Lochbound is an irresistible reimagining of The Little Mermaid set in 1700s Scotland.
